Role overview
Serve as a hands-on T1 Technical Architect for OpenText B2B/EDI integration.
Design, build, test, and maintain electronic data interchanges connecting SAP S/4HANA with retail, distributor, and logistics partners.
Work under T2 Technical Architect mentorship within the wider Global Integration Hub architecture.
B2B and EDI development
- Develop, test, and deploy EDI maps, translation rules, and workflows using OpenText tools.
- Configure AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS communication pipelines.
- Translate transactions across ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and flat-file formats.
- Maintain SAP S/4HANA integration points using IDocs, RFCs, and API endpoints.
Onboarding and operations
- Onboard retail customers, distributors, suppliers, and 3PL providers technically.
- Conduct joint end-to-end testing for shipping, invoicing, ordering, and inventory flows.
- Monitor message delivery, processing backlogs, transmission errors, and OpenText environment health.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for failed maps, certificate issues, and transmission dropouts.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent structural fixes.
Architecture and improvement
- Align OpenText designs with Azure IS, SAP BTP IS, Solace, and MuleSoft integration architecture.
- Identify opportunities to replace legacy point-to-point connections with modern cloud-managed formats.
- Support platform maintenance, patch testing, certificate renewals, documentation, and partner profile management.
Required experience
- Hands-on OpenText B2B/EDI integration experience is required.
- Deep ANSI X12 and EDIFACT knowledge is required.
- Experience with AS2, SFTP, and API-based B2B transport paths is required.
- Basic to intermediate SAP integration knowledge, including IDocs, partner profiles, and RFCs, is required.
- Experience with CPG, FMCG, retail, or logistics-heavy environments is required.
- Understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and warehouse operations is required.
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and willingness to learn are required.
- OpenText or general B2B/EDI certifications are highly regarded.
- English proficiency is listed as proficient at C2 level.
