About the Role
Beacon Software embeds engineers inside vertical software businesses to own technology end to end and increase enterprise value.
The Tech Lead will be the technical leader for ToolHound, a tool and asset management platform serving industrial, construction, energy, and manufacturing customers.
The role owns the codebase, roadmap, team, and AI-native rebuild of an established profitable platform.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technical and product roadmap with the general manager and customers.
- Translate business priorities into a sequenced engineering plan and remain accountable for delivery.
- Drive architecture, code quality, security, data modeling, performance, release engineering, and migration planning.
- Take AI capabilities from planning to production, including evaluations, guardrails, tenant-safe tool use, and agentic workflows.
- Lead and grow the engineering team through mentoring and best-practice development.
- Modernize the stack, improve the SQL and data layer, increase test coverage, and reduce technical risk.
- Act as the technical face of ToolHound and communicate clearly with operators and customers.
