Role Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates global infrastructure supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling.
The role leads cross-functional teams to deliver usable data center capacity in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The role partners with senior stakeholders on infrastructure designs, implementation schedules, budgets, complex issues, and delivery results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of new data centers across one or more availability zones in India and manage more than 10 projects at a time.
- Bridge planning, finance, procurement, legal, policy, and operations functions with construction, commissioning, controls, fiber, and network teams.
- Lead early expansion planning and feasibility analysis to approve expansion plans and build timelines.
- Evaluate data center supply, utility delivery, and long-lead equipment availability before approving plans of record.
- Monitor in-flight projects, major risks, and remediation efforts across the region.
- Use metrics, tools, and mechanisms to identify risks and issues requiring decisions, mitigation, or alternative solutions.
- Communicate across the organisation to align direction, gain support, and drive remediation efforts.
- Deliver infrastructure capacity on time, at cost, and in line with changing customer demand.
