Role Overview
The Team Lead, Machining TFR (Taco Fall River ) coordinates employees who work in the machine shop , schedules and assigns work as required .
Th ey train CNC programmers and operators and o versee creat ion of computer numerical control ( CNC ) programs for manufacturing components, cutter selection, setup documentation, tooling design and drafting, CNC tooling programs, verification, and shop aid sketches.
The Team Lead, Machining is responsible for t roubleshooting the work of all employees within the machine shop that are responsible for the manufacturing of mid - to high - complexity components.
They are s ubject matter expert s on complex machining and also p rovide backup for the supervisor on second shift as needed.
Measures of success:
• Achieve the KPI of on-time deliveries
• Ensure that earned labor hours align with expected targets
• Timely/successful training and evaluation of machine shop employees
• Accurately apply trade knowledge in the development and machining of manufacturing jigs and fixtures in the completion of product

Qualifications
- Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 15 + years of experience operating and programming CNC equipment
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Capability to mentor and train others and to share knowledge
- Blueprint reading, basic math, and understanding of measuring devices
- Good computer skills and advanced proficiency in query ing , monitor ing , and input ting NC machine and system data
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, with the ability to apply mathematical functions
- Advanced k nowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
- Able to keep team members well informed and to draw on other's expertise when required
