Horizons Residential Care Center (HRCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a supportive, enriching community for children and adults with diverse needs. We’re seeking a Team Lead to provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and hands-on support to our Disability Support Professional (DSP) teams across our residential homes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example , supporting others, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support DSP teams to ensure quality care, meaningful activities, and resident safety
  • Ensure staffing coverage, schedules, and breaks are followed
  • Step in to provide direct care when needed
  • Coach, train, and support new and existing staff
  • Collaborate with leadership to address daily operational needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation (Therap, EMAR, goal logs, etc.)
  • Uphold Horizons’ policies, procedures, and values
  • Support transportation needs, including driving agency vehicles if required

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with resident mobility
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends
  • Preferred:
  • Supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience in healthcare, residential care, education, or ICF settings
  • Background in recreational therapy or related fields
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Job Type: Full-time, Second Shift 2:45pm-11:15pm, rotating weekends
