Summary of Functions

A teaching assistant (TA) is a graduate student (or a student at the bachelor’s level if no graduate student is available) who is responsible for assisting a professor in a course.

The TA performs tasks such as:

• Marking assignments or exams
• Answering students' specific evaluation questions
• Supervising a final examination in person

Required experience and qualifications

Who is eligible

Candidate must be fluent in English, the language of instruction.

120 hours

Undergraduate $22,44/ hour + 4% of holiday pay

Master $26,93/ hour + 4% of holiday pay

Doctorate $35,90/ hour + 4% of holiday pay
