Job Summary
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children below 2 years of age.
The role focuses on meeting infants’ and young toddlers’ care needs while supporting their early development in line with the EYFS framework and nursery policies.
Child Care & Wellbeing
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and emotional security of children at all times
- Assist with feeding, diaper changing, toileting, and nap routines following hygiene and safety standards
- Respond promptly and sensitively to children’s needs, cues, and emotions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment
Learning & Development
- Support age-appropriate activities that promote sensory, physical, social, and emotional development
- Assist in setting up play areas and learning resources for infants and toddlers
- Encourage language development through songs, stories, talking, and play
- Observe children’s development and share observations with the Lead Teacher
Health, Safety & Safeguarding
- Follow nursery safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, including cleaning toys and equipment
- Report any concerns regarding a child’s wellbeing, development, or safety to the Lead Teacher or management
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher and nursery team to ensure consistent care
- Communicate respectfully with parents regarding daily routines (feeding, sleep, nappies, mood) as directed
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with infants or toddlers (below 2 years) preferred
- Cache level 2 or diploma in child education is MUST.
- Knowledge of EYFS (desirable)
- Understanding of infant care routines and early child development
- First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain)

- Reliable, flexible, and responsible
- Passion for working with very young children
- Nursery teacher assistant with 2-3 years of experience in a nursery /ADEK approval/ Cache level 2 or diploma in child education is MUST.

LOCATION: MBZ City, ABU DHABI
Salary: AED2,000 - AED 2,500.00 per month
Job Type: Full-time
