Job Summary
Support the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children below two years of age.
Meet infants’ and young toddlers’ care needs while supporting early development in line with the EYFS framework and nursery policies.
Child Care and Wellbeing
- Ensure children’s safety, comfort, and emotional security.
- Assist with feeding, diaper changing, toileting, and nap routines according to hygiene and safety standards.
- Respond sensitively to children’s needs, cues, and emotions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.
Learning and Development
- Support activities that promote sensory, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Set up play areas and learning resources for infants and toddlers.
- Encourage language development through songs, stories, talking, and play.
- Observe development and share observations with the Lead Teacher.
Health, Safety, and Teamwork
- Follow nursery safeguarding, health, and safety policies and maintain high hygiene standards.
