Responsibilities

  • Preparing complex Private Equity , Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership tax returns
  • Detailed review and analysis of Tax returns
  • Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
  • Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members
  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce , Accounting or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in industry or with a law firm
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, CA, EA or a licensed JD
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters of Accounting , Masters of Taxation or MBA preferred
  • Active CPA, EA, CA or JD / LLM
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and review within the Asset Management industry
