- Your key responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on the development of tax policy, by reference to best practice and regulatory trends internationally.
- Support tax and revenue administrations in effectively implementing tax and revenue policies .
- Support governments with their strategy and engagement on international tax initiatives .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, economics, public policy) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Prepare and present insights in a clear and compelling manner.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- You must be able to build strong client relationships & excellently communicate in a range of situations in both written and oral English.
- You should also be able to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards.
- You are expected to be a client focused and commercially aware team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- You must also possess project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget.
- You should also be able to solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
- To qualify for the role
- A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting
- At least five years of relevant experience as Tax professional
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and tax authority practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting technical memos and policy papers.
