Systems Engineer - Safety Analysis

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Software discipline is required. Software Safety Analysis preferred. WSESRB Interactive Safety Environment (WISE) training preferred. MIL-STD-882 training preferred. Experience : 3+ years of related experience; specific experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Heavyweight and/or lightweight torpedoes, especially with actual torpedo safety. Combat Systems. Range System safety. Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV). Battery safety. As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Location

• Newport, RI
• Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)
• Clearance: Secret
• Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
