SAIC is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the Space Reactor-1 (SR-1) Freedom and Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) efforts.
SR-1 will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion and provide a path to higher powered and longer duration Mars missions.
The candidate would be Supporting the SR-1 PPE Lead Systems Engineer.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Definition and oversight of PPE assembly, integration and test (AI&T)
- Development of GSE requirements
- Development of launch site ground operations
- Coordinate activities with the SR-1 Vehicle Integration team
- Provide insight and oversight of the prime contractor’s AI&T team
Location
- Work will be performed in Cleveland, Ohio, onsite at NASA GRC 5-days a week
