Systems Engineer (Mac Environment)

Platform Improvement and Support

• Evaluate and improve associate digital experience using DEX tools.
• Leverage UEM and MDM platforms to deliver business solutions across Gartner.
• Develop and maintain test plans and architecture diagrams for the Mac and mobile environment.
• Develop and maintain metrics and reports using tools such as Power BI and Splunk.
• Document solutions and coach the internal Help Desk through communications, videos, training, and knowledgebase content.
• Mitigate Mac and mobile security threats with the Security team and maintain platform best practices.
• Integrate and maintain UEM or MDM platforms with identity providers such as Okta and Ping.
• Manage ITIL changes, vendor relationships, and evaluation of new Mac and mobile technologies and hardware.

Required Qualifications

• 4 or more years of experience with macOS, iOS, and Android devices in a corporate environment.
• Experience using REST APIs for integration and automation.
• Functional knowledge of Exchange and O365 environments.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPN clients.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scrum, and Jira.
• Ability to read technical documentation, multitask, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with distributed and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• A development or scripting background is strongly preferred.
• Basic web development skills such as HTML and CSS are a plus.
• Apple Certified Support Professional, VMware Certified Professional – Digital Workspace, AirWatch, Jamf, or other MDM certifications are a plus.

• Gartner describes its work environment as hybrid, with virtual work when productive and in-person collaboration when useful.
