Role Overview

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the AEGIS Weapon System in the Surface Navy domain.

The role focuses on computing, network, storage, display, and tactical equipment systems and requires at least three years of systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and update computing systems for Surface Navy applications, including computer, network, storage, and display systems.
  • Create design documents, wiring diagrams, port allocations, bills of material, ship integration data, and production information.
  • Identify and assess alternatives for deployed-system items that are no longer procurable.
  • Apply technology roadmaps to tactical computing equipment and support customer path-forward decisions.
  • Create and update cabinet elevations, wiring diagrams, and power-wiring diagrams in Visio.
  • Provide feedback on fiber optic cable plants and perform trade studies for equipment upgrades.
  • Summarize Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, networking, and storage roadmaps.
  • Compare motherboard designs and assess server vendors and their suitability for IaaS architectures.

Required Qualifications

  • A four-year STEM degree is required, although equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • At least three years of systems engineering experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Visio or an equivalent drawing tool, Excel, and Visual Basic is required.
  • Working knowledge of server and switch hardware, thin or zero clients, and fiber optic communication types is required.
  • The role requires willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Current Secret clearance is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of Aegis systems, technology roadmaps, communications protocols, or equipment-cabinet power distribution is desired.

Workplace and Travel

  • The position requires onsite work in Dahlgren, Virginia.
  • The role requires up to 10% local travel.

Compensation

  • The proposed salary range is $76,000 to $155,700 USD.
  • Compensation may vary based on location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
