· Experience with fiber optical systems.
· Experience with lasers, specifically class 4 laser safety.
· Experience with environmental testing, ESD, and clean room testing.
· Experience with electrical systems.
· Experience with mechanical modelling (CAD).
· Experience in testing and calibrating electronic components and equipment.
· An understanding of industry standard processes.
· Familiarity with lab equipment such as optical power meters, integrating spheres, light sources (lasers and broadband), multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
· Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills; consistently taking the initiative to get things done; doing things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
· Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team setting as well as with customers to define requirements and provide support.
· Experience using SAP.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $62,000 - $85,000 in Cambridge, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
