Role Overview
Serve as an embedded and system software domain expert driving software quality, evaluation, validation objectives, and technical execution.
Work on software products that enable feature-rich hardware across multiple languages and technical paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Lead embedded product software validation planning and execution.
- Drive system-level software technical decisions and hardware-software integration.
- Identify and mitigate system-level technical risks.
- Plan prototype bring-up, bench testing, and evaluation.
- Support datasheets, user guides, application notes, and other technical documentation.
- Feed findings and improvement opportunities to product development teams.
- Contribute to reference designs, development platforms, and customer-enablement documentation.
- Clarify software requirements with customers and engineering teams.
- Contribute across multiple projects, languages, and scopes.
- Assist with code reviews and mentor team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- 5–7 years of embedded firmware or software development experience across multiple IoT application segments.
- Strong software architecture, design, Behavior-Driven Development, and unit testing knowledge.
- High proficiency in C, C++, and Embedded C.
- Production-quality embedded software experience for MCU-based platforms.
- Understanding of motor control software, real-time systems, and embedded workflows.
- Experience integrating host utilities with embedded targets over common interfaces.
- Experience developing agentic tools.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, accuracy, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of host-side stacks such as RTOS, C#, .NET, Python, Qt, WPF, or WinUI.
- Experience with DevOps tools including JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
Compensation
- Expected annual pay range is $115,000–$150,000.
- The position is eligible for bonus opportunities.
- Final offer depends on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset.
