The System Operator Trainee opening is an opportunity to expand your knowledge about transmission infrastructure and systems.

• Learn to monitor, operate, and control Sunflower's transmission system.
• Work with an experienced team who is willing to share their knowledge with you.
• Provide support to achieve the lowest cost, most reliable, and environmentally sound transmission and substation infrastructure.

• Associate degree in applied science with an emphasis in electronics, electrical or related technology and three years utility experience, or equivalent combination or education and experience.
• Able to think quickly, logically, and accurately in identifying and responding properly to normal, abnormal, and emergency situations, often under stressful conditions.
• Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, basic principles of physics, and alternating current (ac) and direct current (dc) power concepts.
