Role overview

Main duties

• Manage interfaces between rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, depots, and operational environments.
• Maintain system interface registers and coordinate multidisciplinary system design solutions.
• Coordinate with authorities, operators, contractors, stakeholders, and specialist system providers.
• Facilitate integration workshops, technical coordination meetings, and interface resolution sessions.
• Support requirements management, interface management, verification, validation, and traceability.
• Identify integration risks and lead reviews to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Support testing, commissioning, trial operations, and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, railway standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognized university is required.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in rail projects or rail operations is required.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and complex system interfaces on major infrastructure projects is required.

Technical and professional skills

• Strong knowledge of signaling, communications, traction power, SCADA, OCC, rolling stock, and depot systems is required.
• Experience with systems engineering, interface management, and systems integration assurance is required.
• Strong knowledge of design development, systems integration, and tender documentation is required.
• Leadership, communication, coordination, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
