Role Overview
SYSTRA is seeking a Systems Integration Manager - Rail to lead coordination and integration of railway systems and associated infrastructure.
The role covers signaling, communications, traction power, SCADA, OCC, rolling stock, platform systems and depot systems.
Main Duties
- Manage interfaces between rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, depots and operational environments.
- Maintain system interface registers and coordinate their resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and integrated system design solutions across project stages.
- Coordinate with authorities, operators, contractors and specialist system providers.
- Facilitate integration workshops, technical meetings and interface resolution sessions.
- Support requirements management, interface management, verification, validation and traceability.
- Identify integration risks and develop mitigation strategies for technical challenges.
- Lead integration reviews and monitor resolution of technical and operational issues.
- Support testing, commissioning, trial operations and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with project, railway, safety and operational requirements.
- Support construction and delivery teams by ensuring interfaces are clearly defined and implemented.
Profile and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in rail projects and/or rail operations.
- Strong knowledge of railway systems and complex system interfaces.
- Experience with systems engineering, interface management and integration assurance.
- Understanding of operational interfaces, testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders in complex multidisciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of design development, systems integration and tender documentation requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
