Responsibilities
- Advise and assist in all aspects of specialty related to Shikra system
- Monitor and analyze factors affecting operational availability and system performance

- Perform intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance) as required
- Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of radar and C2

- Communicate with Contractor Experts in Europe to resolve malfunctions
- Transfer expertise and knowledge to Saudi technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Radar Technology
- Minimum of 3 5 years of knowledge and experience in operational and maintenance of PSR/SSR Radars, C2 and communication equipment
- Experience in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting systems
- Speak English (French is an advantage)

Overview
- The Expert (Shikra System) System Engineer will support the MTSD and the Client during the maintenance contract.
Responsibilities
- Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
- Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, Shikra system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally but also with the team located in France.
- Evaluating performance of Shikra systems, data handling and communication equipment.
- Monitoring the Built In Test equipment/software, analyze the results and recommend improvements.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) in his specialty as required.
- Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the radar and the C2 to ensure it remain operationally ready.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance, troubleshooting, and On the Job Training (OJT).
- To ensure the readiness of the Shikra system, communicate with the Contractor Experts in Europe to find solutions and fix malfunctions in case the engineer is unable to remedy errors alone.
- Supporting and Transferring expertise and knowledge to Saudi technicians. Providing advice and assistance.
Key Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Areas
- Overall experience with radars should include Radar, Primary/Secondary, all aspects of Radar plot extractors, and interface equipment
- Technical knowhow including Antennas, Processors, computers, monitoring, data transmission, plot extractors, power systems, etc
- Experience in a complex environment (multi cultural, multi disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc
- Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Radar Technology
- Experience in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting systems
- Minimum of 3 5 years of knowledge, experience in operational and maintenance of PSR/SSR Radars, C2 and communication equipment. The experience should include installation, testing, integration, upgrades and modifications of radar and C2
- Speak English (French is an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills
