Responsibilities
- Advise and assist in all aspects of specialty related to RAPIDRanger system
- Monitor and analyze factors affecting operational availability and system performance
- Evaluate performance of RAPIDRanger systems, data handling and communication equipment
- Perform intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance) as required
- Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of RAPIDRanger
- Support Mobile Maintenance Team functions and travel to remote sites
- Communicate with Contractor Experts in Europe to resolve malfunctions
- Transfer expertise and knowledge to Saudi technicians

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Weapon Technology
- Minimum of 3 5 years of knowledge and experience in operational and maintenance of Weapon system and associated equipment and communication equipment
- Strong scripting and technical skills
- Speak English (French is an advantage)

Overview
- The Expert RapidRanger System Engineer will support the MTSD and the Client during the maintenance contract.
Responsibilities
- Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
- Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, RAPIDRanger system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally but also with the team located in UK.
- Evaluating performance of RAPIDRanger systems, data handling and communication equipment.
- Monitoring the Built In Test equipment/software, analyze the results and recommend improvements.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) in his specialty as required.
- Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the RAPIDRanger to ensure it remain operationally ready.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance, troubleshooting, and On the Job Training (OJT).
- To ensure the readiness of the RAPIDRanger system, communicate with the Contractor Experts in Europe to find solutions and fix malfunctions in case the engineer is unable to remedy errors alone.
- Supporting and Transferring expertise and knowledge to Saudi technicians. Providing advice and assistance.
Key Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Areas
- Overall experience with Weapon system and associated equipment and should include Safety Management Unit, Power Distribution Modules, Ethernet switch, Control Electronics Unit, Power Conditioning Unit, System Command and Control Unit, LMM missiles in Field Handling Containers (FHCs), and interface e
- The technical knowhow should include weapon system LRUs including, Stabilized Sight Head, Turret, Panniers, Automatic Missile Interface Unit, power systems and other sub systems associated with the weapon system.
- Experience in a complex environment (multi cultural, multi disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc
- Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Weapon Technology
- Minimum of 3 5 years of Knowledge, experience in operational and maintenance of Weapon system and associated equipment and communication equipment. The experience should include installation, testing, integration, upgrades and modifications to the weapon system.
- Strong scripting and technical skills
- Speak English (French is an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills
