System Engineer – Kavach (Onboard & Station ATP Systems)

The System Engineer – Kavach will contribute to the design, development, integration, and validation of India’s indigenous Automatic Train Protection (TCAS/Kavach) system . The role includes defining and managing system and subsystem requirements, supporting onboard and station-side integration, ensuring compliance with SIL-4 safety standards, and assisting in verification and validation activities.

This position requires strong systems engineering fundamentals, familiarity with signalling principles, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams for both onboard (Loco Kavach) and trackside (Station Kavach) implementations.

You’ll make a difference by

Capture, analyse, and manage system and subsystem requirements for Kavach (onboard and station).

Support development and maintenance of system architecture and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

Coordinate integration activities between onboard and station subsystems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.

Assist in safety analysis, RAMS activities, and compliance with EN 50126/8/9 and Indian Railway standards.
