Sarh Attaqnia Co. is a Riyadh contracting group with an IT department supporting more than 400 endpoints across headquarters, project sites in Saudi Arabia, and three affiliated companies.
The Role
This is an experienced, senior technical systems administration role reporting to the IT Manager.
The role manages the server, directory, network, and backup layers and supports security systems under the IT Manager's direction.
The role is not a helpdesk position.
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows Server, domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and user and device lifecycles across domain and project-site systems.
- Deploy and standardize systems using MDT, WDS, PXE, USB-based provisioning, and patch management.
- Manage Synology systems, backup routines, and scheduled restore testing.
- Perform VLAN and switching work on Cisco core and access networks and support wireless through an Omada controller.
- Support access control, attendance hardware, CCTV, and VoIP systems that depend on the network.
- Support Sophos firewalls and Sophos Central endpoint security through alert triage, policy checks, deployment coverage, and documentation.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for support engineers and cover during the IT Manager's absence.
- Document changes and support service management, asset management, monitoring, and patch-management projects.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of system administration experience in a multi-site business environment.
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP configuration and troubleshooting experience beyond basic account creation.
- Practical VLAN and switching knowledge with Cisco CLI experience.
- Exposure to an enterprise firewall such as Sophos, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, or a similar platform, including rule-base, policy, NAT, and VPN concepts.
- Hands-on backup and restore experience, including personally performed restores.
- Written English strong enough to produce documentation another engineer can follow.
- Currently in Saudi Arabia with a transferable iqama.
- Arabic and English are required.
Advantageous Qualifications
- Firewall rule ownership, endpoint protection console administration, and MDT, WDS, or imaging automation experience are advantageous.
- Microsoft 365 or Zoho Workplace administration, access control, CCTV, VoIP, or Hyper-V or VMware experience is advantageous.
- Security+, Network+, CCNA, AZ-104, or ITIL 4 Foundation certification is useful but not required.
Schedule and Work Location
- The schedule is Saturday through Thursday, 08:30 to 17:30, from the north Riyadh headquarters.
- Maintenance windows are scheduled after hours.
- This is not a 24/7 shift role and there is no on-call rota.
Compensation
- Pay is SAR 5,500–6,500 per month.
