Position Summary
The Sustaining Engineer provides immediate response to design-related production issues.
The role manages the product lifecycle for busbar designs and improves Design for Manufacturability.
Busbar is an engineered-to-order product, creating complexity and variation for supporting departments.
Responsibilities
- Identify and coordinate cross-functional Design for Manufacturability improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide design support for production issues and supply-chain constraints.
- Support new product development and introduction.
- Ensure engineered-to-order design quality before release to production.
Qualifications
- 1-3 or more years of product design experience.
- 1-3 or more years of 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability.
- 1-3 or more years of sheet metal and copper design experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
