Sustainability Manager

Role Purpose

Strategic Sustainability Planning

• Develop and lead implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy in line with organizational goals.
• Assess environmental, social, and governance impacts and identify improvement opportunities.
• Set and monitor KPIs for sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Create long-term sustainability roadmaps aligned with industry standards, regulatory changes, and stakeholder expectations.

Initiatives Planning and Implementation

• Develop plans for sustainability initiatives with objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress against established criteria and goals.
• Allocate financial, human, and technical resources effectively.
• Optimize resource utilization to achieve sustainability goals efficiently.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

• Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, and marketing to advance sustainability objectives.
• Act as a contact for customers, regulators, and industry groups regarding the company’s sustainability vision.
• Prepare sustainability reports, presentations, and updates for senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
• Develop employee engagement initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability.

Innovation and Improvement

• Identify technologies, practices, and trends that can improve operational efficiency and sustainability impact.
• Lead pilot programs and track their success and scalability.
• Evaluate industry innovations and emerging sustainability best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D on sustainable materials and methods.

Policies and People Management

• Support monitoring of day-to-day activities for compliance with policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and coaching of subordinates.
• Provide direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow.

Knowledge and Experience

• Nine years of experience in sustainability management, ESG roles, environmental management, or a related field.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
