Engage with the forest industry, serving as point person on SFI Implementation Committees and collaborating with local conservation partners.
Facilitate the review of in-woods and residual supplier questionnaires to ensure sustainability expectations are aligned between Drax and its feedstock suppliers.
Serve as the sustainability point of contact for the Drax local fibre procurement teams.
Support Sustainability Manager in all activities related to maintenance of the certification program.
Assist the Sustainability Manager in providing information for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and annual reporting.
To excel in this vital role, you’ll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field in Natural Resources is required.
Applied knowledge of forest management, forest sourcing, or natural resource management is essential; experience with forest certification is ideal.
Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, are required. Experience with 3Log and/or other data management systems is preferred. Familiarity with ArcGIS is also preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as collaborative abilities, are necessary.
