Role Overview
CCL Global is recruiting a Senior Sustainability & Energy Specialist for a major international energy organisation.
The role strengthens sustainability, ESG, energy, and emissions management capability and develops internal ownership through coaching and knowledge transfer.
Assignment Details
- The assignment is an initial 12-month renewable contract.
- The sector is Oil & Gas / Energy.
Location
- The role is located in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, consolidate, and enhance the corporate sustainability framework and strategy.
- Develop governance structures, responsibilities, RACI matrices, and reporting processes.
- Lead the annual Sustainability Report aligned with GRI Standards.
- Establish reporting methodologies, templates, evidence requirements, and review processes.
- Enhance energy, GHG emissions, and flaring reporting with data-quality controls.
- Develop ESG and sustainability KPIs, ownership structures, and performance dashboards.
- Conduct materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Improve data governance, audit readiness, and reporting consistency.
- Coach and mentor junior sustainability personnel.
- Develop procedures, SOPs, reporting tools, and documentation for internal ownership.
Experience and Requirements
- Significant experience in Sustainability, ESG, Energy, or Environmental Performance Management.
- Proven experience developing or supporting GRI-aligned Sustainability Reports.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability governance, and corporate sustainability strategy.
- Technical understanding of GHG emissions, flaring, and energy performance reporting.
- Experience developing sustainability or ESG KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Experience undertaking or supporting materiality assessments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination capability.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and transfer technical knowledge.
- Excellent written reporting, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Previous Oil & Gas or Energy sector experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 14064.
