Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi and related dishes
- Select, cut, and handle seafood and other ingredients
- Maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene
- Collaborate with kitchen team to deliver consistent, high quality plates
- Support menu development and execution
- Manage inventory and ingredient management
- Communicate with service staff to meet guest expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Requirements
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills with emphasis on Japanese cuisine
- Excellent hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety standards
- Solid seafood handling skills and understanding of quality and freshness
- Refined culinary skills including knife work, sushi rolling, plating, and flavor balancing
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role in a professional kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of Japanese ingredients and terminology
- Relevant culinary education or training preferred

Role Description

Qualifications

- Refined culinary skills including knife work, sushi rolling, plating, and flavor balancing.
