Full-time, on-site Sushi Chef role based in Dubai.
Prepare sushi and Japanese dishes to company standards with consistent quality and presentation.
Food Preparation
- Select and prepare seafood and other ingredients.
- Cook rice and other components.
- Prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and related menu items.
- Manage prep work and production volumes.
Safety and Operations
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
- Store, label, and rotate ingredients properly.
- Coordinate with kitchen and retail staff.
- Support menu updates and specials.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Customer Interaction
- Interact with customers when needed.
- Answer product questions and contribute to customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Strong cooking and culinary skills relevant to Japanese cuisine.
- Food preparation skills including portioning, cutting, and assembling ingredients.
- Seafood handling skills including selecting, filleting, and safe storage.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple orders.
- Basic English communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Sushi Chef or Japanese restaurant experience is highly beneficial.
- Formal culinary training or certification is advantageous.
