Sushi DoZo, part of the Laziz group, is seeking a passionate and motivated Sushi Chef.

The role focuses on sushi preparation and cold and hot kitchen operations while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.

The position offers an opportunity to develop a career in Japanese cuisine.

Prepare sushi, maki rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other cold Japanese dishes according to company recipes.
Assist with salads, appetizers, and other cold and hot kitchen items.
Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety standards.
Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation.
Prepare and organize mise en place before service.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the sushi station and cold kitchen.
Follow HACCP, municipality regulations, and company food safety procedures.
Minimize food wastage and support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

High school education or equivalent is required.
Culinary Arts certification or training is advantageous.
Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in a Japanese restaurant.
Hands-on experience in sushi and cold and hot kitchen preparation is required.
Basic knowledge of Japanese ingredients, knife skills, food presentation, and food safety is required.
Experience in the UAE or GCC is described as both preferred and mandatory in the source.
