Works under limited supervision with little instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
Performs professional surveying and cost management work on problems of diverse scope.
Uses surveying instruments and land-information computer systems to collect, analyze, and report data.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys to locate natural features and human-made structures above, on, and below the earth's surface.
- Operate electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.
- Manage land-information computer systems, including data storage, inquiries, plots, and reports.
- Review measurements of distances, directions, angles, elevations, lines, and contours.
- Research legal records and previous boundaries to determine boundary lines.
- Verify survey data accuracy and prepare plots, maps, and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum 18 years of demonstrable cost management experience in professional practice.
- Minimum 5 years of substantive experience on rail and/or metro infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and their application.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Power BI, SAP, or an equivalent cost control system is essential.
- MRICS or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
