WSP is seeking an experienced Survey Engineer in Jeddah.
The role supports major transportation, road, utility, and civil infrastructure projects.
The position oversees contractor surveying, verifies setting out works, reviews survey records, and confirms construction compliance with approved documents.
Responsibilities
- Review contractor survey methodologies, control points, benchmarks, and setting out activities.
- Monitor survey works and verify alignments, levels, coordinates, and dimensions.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks and reference points across project sites.
- Review survey reports, calculations, records, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineers, inspectors, and multidisciplinary supervision teams.
- Verify completed-work quantities and measurements for progress reporting and certification.
- Inspect utility corridors, road alignments, drainage networks, and related infrastructure works.
- Support project reporting and provide technical recommendations on construction accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements during survey operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least five years of experience on transportation, roads, highways, utility infrastructure, drainage, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Professional experience within Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
- Experience with engineering consultancies in construction supervision or site supervision is required.
- Experience supervising and verifying contractor survey activities on infrastructure projects is required.
- Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, drainage, and utility network installations is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Total Station, GPS/GNSS systems, digital levels, and survey data processing software.
- Strong understanding of construction supervision procedures, quality assurance, and infrastructure project delivery.
- Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and survey calculations.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
