Summary Of Performance Expectations
Provides patient care duties perioperatively for patients of all ages, infants through adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Serves primarily as a scrub technologist.
Also functions as a surgical assistant and/or assistant to the circulating nurse.
Required
Graduate of accredited program of Surgical Technology, military experience, recent experience as a surgical technologist, or two years of clinical surgical technology experience at Catawba Valley Medical Center with no degree.
Preferred
BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Required
Demonstrated ability to function as a surgical assistant in multiple specialties.
Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
