Responsibilities
- 65% Supervise, organize, and manage employees in the production areas of the Printing Division. Supervise and maintain a good workflow in the production areas. Develop and maintain programs controlling spoilage and waste in their assigned areas. Review and submit daily time-sheets of employees.
- 15% Write work orders for equipment repair or work area concerns. Fill out and post daily machine and work assignment sheets. Track and find jobs on WIP. Close out all cost centers in PRIMAC system.
- 10% Attend various production, planning, ESS, leadership meetings and others.
- 5% Assist in ordering supplies and parts for machinery in their area.
- 5% Troubleshooting with scheduler's when problems or conflicts occur.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a printing/production operation, and or a combination of schooling with a Graphic Arts or Business background and 2 years experience in printing production operations. Experience should be as an operator, lead or head pressman/journeyman.
- GATF Certification
- Above average computer knowledge and ability to use Word, Excel, and Access database programs.
- Ability to follow through with projects and assignments.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred and helpful.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- English proficiency required.
