Role Overview
Supply Chain Manager responsible for warehouse, distribution, fleet, and logistics operations across the UAE and GCC.
The role reports to the Supply Chain Director and focuses on large-scale operations, team leadership, delivery performance, and cost optimization.
Warehouse and Distribution
- Lead inbound, storage, picking, dispatch, and last-mile delivery operations.
- Manage warehouse space, resources, manpower, FIFO/FEFO, inventory handling, order accuracy, and throughput.
- Drive improvements through WMS, ERP, Lean, and process optimization.
Distribution and Logistics
- Manage fleet, drivers, transportation, and last-mile delivery across the UAE and GCC.
- Improve OTIF performance, customer service, route efficiency, and transportation costs.
- Manage 3PL providers, transporters, shipping agents, and logistics partners.
- Coordinate regional logistics and customs activities where required.
Inventory and Planning
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and efficient inventory movement across locations.
- Work with demand and supply planning teams on forecasting and replenishment.
- Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, delivery delays, and operational bottlenecks.
KPI and Cost Management
- Monitor OTIF, order fulfillment, order accuracy, backorders, delivery delays, warehouse throughput, GRN processing time, and complaint resolution.
- Implement initiatives to reduce warehouse, transportation, and distribution costs.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Team Leadership and Compliance
- Lead and develop a warehouse and distribution workforce of more than 50 employees.
- Manage supervisors, operators, helpers, drivers, and other operational teams.
- Set performance standards, coach employees, conduct reviews, and build team capabilities.
- Ensure safety, accountability, productivity, regulatory compliance, and proper handling of FMCG and chemical products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or distribution operations experience.
- Experience in FMCG and/or chemical distribution and warehouses of 50,000+ square feet.
- Experience managing operational teams of 50+ employees.
- Strong distribution, fleet, transportation, last-mile delivery, KPI, and logistics cost-management experience.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Navision.
- Experience with 3PLs, transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Knowledge of UAE/GCC logistics and customs processes; English required and Arabic preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
- CSCP, CLTD, CIPM, or CISCP certifications are preferred.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience is preferred.
