Position summary

Direct and assist stewards to improve cleanup efficiency and support kitchen, banquet, and buffet operations.

Maintain cleaning, equipment, safety, guest service, quality, and employee-support standards.

Stewarding and kitchen support

  • Monitor and document appropriate water temperatures and chemical levels.
  • Assist with banquet plate-ups, buffet support, kitchen tasks, and provision of items to cooks.
  • Return cleaned items to proper locations.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

People and safety

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.

Guest service and conduct

  • Maintain clean and professional personal appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
  • Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, communicate professionally, and support team goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical requirements

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and reach overhead and below the knees.
  • Bend, twist, pull, stoop, and move across sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
