Role overview

Stewarding operations

• Direct and assist stewards to improve cleaning efficiency.
• Check and record appropriate water temperatures and cleaning-product quantities.
• Use and maintain dishwashers, hand-washing stations, wash bins, compactors, and other cleaning equipment.
• Deliver cleaned items to the appropriate locations.

Kitchen and banquet support

• Assist with banquet setup and help cooks and kitchen staff with tasks as needed.
• Provide kitchen staff with needed items.
• Support banquets and buffets by transporting items and maintaining sufficient reserves.

People supervision

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee support.
• Build positive professional relationships and cooperate with colleagues to achieve common goals.

Qualifications

• A secondary-school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is recommended.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience is recommended.
• No certification is required.

Safety and workplace standards

• Follow all company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and hazardous conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean uniform, professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company property.
• The role requires movement across slippery, uneven, or sloped surfaces and physical handling of loads up to 23 kilograms.

Guest and quality service

• Welcome customers according to company standards and anticipate and respond to their needs.
• Use clear and courteous language in all communications.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
• Perform other duties requested by supervisors that correspond to the position.

Workplace details

• The position is located at East Crescent, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• The role is not remote and requires physical work in the hotel environment.
• The schedule is full time.
