Overview

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers at Le Méridien Dubai.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
  • Ensure proper portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of served food.
  • Monitor the amount of food prepared.
  • Inform Food and Beverage staff about rejected products and special menu items.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute products.
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
  • Provide cooks with necessary items.
  • Monitor kitchen items and food in stock.
  • Maintain kitchen records for food safety program.
  • Ensure food quality and notify manager of non conforming products.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • 4 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification required.
