Education, Training and Experience
Current Certification with the CAMRT.
A minimum of two (2) years' recent, related experience, including one (1) year supervisory and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Medical Imaging theory and practice within a client and family centered care model.
Knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT.
Knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with radiology equipment.
Knowledge of hospital and Radiology Information Systems.
Knowledge of PACS i.e. digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval.
Demonstrated ability to function as an effective leader, motivator, facilitator, and team member.
Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate, coach and mentor staff.
Demonstrated ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals.
Demonstrated ability to promote a creative learning environment.
Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of enquiry and evidence based practice.
Broad knowledge of research processes and methodology.
Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and implement new projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies.
Demonstrated ability to deal with and/or guide others in resolution of conflict issues.
Demonstrated ability to adjust to new or unexpected events.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
Demonstrated skill in techniques appropriate to area of specialty and the use of applicable equipment and supplies.
Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
