Position information

Position: Housekeeping Supervisor.

Department: Housekeeping and Laundry.

Schedule: Full time.

The position is non-management and is located at a hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Housekeeping operations

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
  • Prepare room-availability reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, and prioritize room cleaning.
  • Update room status for departing guests and coordinate daily housekeeping activities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Document and resolve room discrepancies with the Front Desk.
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate assignment-sheet or work-board changes.
  • Communicate issues to the next shift and complete required paperwork.

People and compliance duties

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Follow company safety policies and report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Support coworkers respectfully, meet quality standards, and perform reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Desirable qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience is desirable.
  • The posting lists at least 1 year of supervisory experience as desirable and also separately lists no supervisory experience.

Physical and technical capabilities

  • Use computers or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, machines, rooms, and work conditions visually.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, and pull work-related objects and loaded maintenance carts.
  • Work for extended periods while standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, reaching, bending, or moving across uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees and other departments.
