As a Co-op Associate Reality Capture Specialist, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting end-to-end 3D documentation—from on-site data collection to point cloud deliverables. You’ll work alongside experienced team members in the field and office, learning how to capture, organize, and process data while contributing to real client projects.
Learn project scope, objectives, and site conditions before field work
Assist with travel prep, equipment setup, and on-site readiness
Participate in client site walkthroughs to understand project requirements
Capture scan, photo, and video data using industry-standard tools
Organize and document datasets to ensure accuracy and traceability
Support data transfer, registration, QA/QC, and basic post-processing
Collaborate with team members and help deliver a strong on-site client experience

Exposure to LiDAR, laser scanning, or 3D modeling tools
Familiarity with tools like FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, IVION, or Prevu3D
Basic understanding of coordinate systems or mapping concepts
Significant travel (up to ~75%) to industrial and commercial sites
Active, hands-on work outdoors and on job sites
Ability to walk long distances and carry equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
Work in varying weather and site conditions while following safety protocols
