Responsibilities of a Substitute Teacher
- Provide quality instruction to students on behalf of the permanent teacher in assigned classroom(s)
- Implement effective routines, procedures, and lesson plans on behalf of the permanent teacher
- Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration or designee
- Perform other duties as directed by school administration or designee
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Must submit to and clear a criminal background check
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application submission
- Some college hours or college degree preferred
