Role Overview
The role is a Substation Tendering Manager supporting substation EPC projects across the Middle East and North Africa.

The position leads end-to-end tendering activities for 132kV, 220kV, 400kV, or similar substation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete tendering process for substation EPC opportunities.
- Review tender documents, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and contractual requirements.
- Develop technically compliant and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare project scope, execution strategy, schedules, and methodologies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial, finance, and business development teams.
- Evaluate supplier, manufacturer, and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids.
- Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and compliance schedules.
- Assess technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
- Participate in client discussions, negotiations, and post-tender presentations.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions and tender handover after award.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 12–15 or more years of experience in HV substation engineering, estimation, or tendering.
- At least 5 years in senior tendering, proposal, or estimation roles.
- EPC tendering experience for AIS and GIS substations at 132kV, 220kV, 400kV, or similar levels.
- Strong knowledge of primary and secondary systems, protection, control, SCADA, telecommunications, and metering.
- Experience with Middle East utilities, consultants, or EPC contractors is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEC standards and MENA utility tendering practices.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent English communication.
- Willingness to travel within the MENA region.
