Job Description
We are seeking engaged and collaborative individuals to join our team as Unity Center Program Assistants.
Unity Center Program Assitants (UCPA) work alongside the professional staff of the Center to provide guidance in the development, design, and practical application of resources and services provided throughout the Campus, within the framework of these goals and mission of the Office.
UCPA advances their skills in program coordination, marketing, and public speaking as well as workshop presenting (Conferences/SLI) and facilitating conversations around identity, diversity, equity, justice, and social change.
Job Overview
- Facilitate independently, or co-facilitate with other program assistants, original workshops for students that introduce, frame, and advance aspects of identity, social change, and equity.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, coordinating annual and events, and introducing new creative ways to engage the campus by helping to develop new initiatives through the Center or other potential campus partners
- Assist with office coverage for the Unity Center office suite during business hours, including but not limited to: answering phones, taking messages, opening and closing the office, copying, data entry, making deliveries to and from various campus offices, and greeting visitors
- Assist professional staff members in the Center with existing projects and initiatives assigned to each BUCPE.
