Student Assistant needed for the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science. Student Assistant will staff the College Advising Office front desk, where they will schedule appointments for academic advisors, assist with basic advising questions, and direct visitors throughout the building. Student Assistant will also assist with standard office duties related to filing, copies, and organization. Student Assistant will also assist with college-sponsored events, including event setup and cleanup, moving tables, chairs, etc.; data entry; research; social media; and other duties as assigned. Student Assistant will assist with direct recruitment initiatives, including but not limited to building tours, emails to prospective students, direct mail efforts, etc. The ability to work independently and deal with the public is inherent to the position. An outgoing personality with strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Student Assistant must be able to lift/move boxes and other materials and may also be required to work occasional evenings or weekends (with prior notice) in support of college-related events. College of Justice, Safety & Military Science major is strongly preferred. Position is funded by Federal Work Study Funds. Institutional Funding is not available for this position.
