Responsibilities
- Collect student and general payments accurately through approved payment channels
- Review student ledgers, calculate applicable fees, and apply approved discounts and scholarships
- Provide precise and timely financial information to students, parents, guardians, staff, and stakeholders
- Support payment plan arrangements and liaise with students regarding payment recovery
- Prepare quotations and tax invoices when needed
- Coordinate with departments for financial clearance of student withdrawals and graduations
- Assist Accounts Receivable department with student follow ups on due payments
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of practical experience in cashiering, teller services, student accounts, accounts receivable, or related financial services role
- Strong numerical accuracy and bookkeeping knowledge
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel
- Experience handling payments through cash, credit card, POS, bank transfers, and cheques
- Experience in a university environment is an advantage

Job Description
- Canadian University Dubai is seeking a detail oriented and service focused Student Accounts Officer to join the Students Account Department.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline.
- Strong numerical accuracy, sound bookkeeping knowledge, and ability to review student ledgers, calculate fees, and apply discounts/scholarships.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel required; experience in a university environment is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum one year of practical experience in cashiering, teller services, student accounts, accounts receivable, or related financial services role.
- Experience handling payments through cash, credit card, POS, bank transfers, and cheques preferred.
- Experience providing high quality customer service in a busy, student facing environment.
Key Areas of Work
- Student and general payment collections, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
- Student ledger review, fee calculation, and application of discounts, scholarships, and adjustments.
- Customer service and stakeholder support, providing clear financial information.
- Payment follow up and recovery support.
- Billing, quotations, tax invoices, refunds, and clearance support for withdrawals and graduations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect student and general payments accurately through approved channels.
- Provide precise financial information to students, parents, guardians, staff, and stakeholders.
- Review student ledgers, calculate fees, and apply discounts and scholarships.
- Support payment plan arrangements and liaise with students regarding payment recovery.
- Collaborate with departments for accurate billing, refund processing, and account updates.
- Assist Accounts Receivable with student follow ups on due payments.
- Prepare quotations and tax invoices.
- Coordinate financial clearance for student withdrawals and graduations.
- Support eligible students during add/drop period with course related financial processes.
- Apply university scholarship requirements, fee structures, and financial policies consistently.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and guardians.
- Provide feedback to management on student account matters and process improvements.
