Role Overview
The Structures Supervisor oversees inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction activities related to base structures at Al Udeid Air Base.
The role ensures structural work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with U.S. Air Force, DoD, host nation, and industry standards.
The supervisor leads skilled trades personnel and coordinates with engineering, safety, and operations teams to maintain mission-ready facilities.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise daily operations of structures maintenance and repair teams, including carpenters, masons, welders, and general maintenance personnel.
- Plan, assign, and inspect work involving buildings, roofs, doors, windows, hangars, shelters, concrete, and other structural components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality control standards.
- Conduct facility inspections and assessments to identify structural deficiencies and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and project management teams on repairs, renovations, and new construction projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, materials, and labor hours.
- Train and mentor personnel on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and serviceability.
