The employer is seeking a Structural Steel Design Engineer for its engineering team.
The role requires 7-10 years of experience working in a steel fabrication company.
Key responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural steel elements, assemblies, and connections.
- Prepare engineering calculations, design packages, and technical reports.
- Review and approve steel fabrication drawings and shop details.
- Collaborate with drafting teams to ensure accurate and complete drawings.
- Perform load calculations, modeling, and structural analysis using relevant software.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, fabricators, and internal teams.
- Provide engineering support during fabrication and installation phases.
- Assist with project planning, timelines, and technical problem-solving.
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a steel fabrication company.
- Strong knowledge of steel design principles and fabrication and erection practices.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD, SAP2000, IDEA STATICA, or ETABS.
- Ability to read, interpret, and review structural and fabrication drawings.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
