Structural Project Engineer (Mid-Level)

Hazen & Sawyer is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for our Birmingham office with 5-12 years of experience.

The position will work on a wide range of projects to include planning, design, permitting, and construction of structures in the ‘water space’ (i.e. drinking water, wastewater, water resources, conveyance, canals and ports).

may include:

• Project engineering/management, mentoring and developing junior staff, performing site inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Perform assessment, design, and construction tasks for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Produce design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans/specifications for environmental structures such as industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, storage facilities and treatment facilities.
• Participate in construction tasks for similar projects including submittal review, responding to RFI’s, site inspections and clarifications during construction.
