Structural and Inspection Duties
- Review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Lead structural inspections and monitor construction quality and workmanship.
- Identify structural defects, discrepancies, and construction issues and recommend solutions.
- Ensure structural works comply with approved designs, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and requests for information.
- Monitor structural progress, quality, safety, and compliance on site.
Coordination and Closeout
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Prepare inspection reports and provide technical recommendations.
- Support testing, rectification, completion, and handover activities.
- Provide technical leadership and support to the project team.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a structural engineer, structural lead, building inspector, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of structural design, construction, inspection, and defect assessment.
- Good understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify structural and construction-related risks.
- Fluent English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, structural software, or BIM is an advantage.
- Professional Engineer status or relevant professional registration is an advantage.
- Experience in high-rise, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale projects is an advantage.
Workplace
